Light Technology, LLC. (“Light”, “our,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy covers Light’s treatment of information collected when you access www.gosportsnow.net GoSports or any linked pages, features, or related services offered from time to time by Light in connection therewith (“GoSports”). GoSports is a platform that allows Users to sign up and list their Club in order to connect with Players, allows Players to sign up with certain Clubs, and other related services (e.g., customer service inquiries or emails about sports events or new Clubs in your area) (the “Service” or the “Services”).
We know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared. This Privacy Policy provides details of the way in which Light collects, uses, and discloses your personal information.
Information We Collect and Use
We collect and use your personal information in order to provide you the Services, or for any other reason for which we collected the personal information as we disclose to you. As explained in more detail below, the amount of information we collect, use, and disclose varies on whether you are using GoSports as (a) a sports registrant (“Player”) or as a sports club or organizer who use GoSports (“Club”) (collectively, “Users”). For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term “Player” refers to GoSports account holders who are either: (i) the parents or legal guardians of Players; or (ii) participants in sports organizations who are seventeen (17) years of age or older. If you are a Player, we collect your name, email address, phone number, age, gender, physical address, IP address, and information obtained in communications you send to us. If you are a Club, we collect your name, email address, phone number, club name, club physical and mailing address, IP address, and information obtained in communications you send to us.
The following tables explain the types of information we collect and how we use it. These categories of personal information and data, both for Clubs and for Players, may collectively be referred to as “Your Information.”

For example, we request information to register and administer your account, to detect and prevent fraud, help you connect with other Clubs or Players, improve our Services, and for marketing purposes. We may also share Your Information with sporting authorities to track Player and Club match activity.

Any other identifier that permits the physical or online contacting of a specific individual.

Light will not collect additional categories of personal information or use Your Information we collect for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes unless we first notify you, as required by applicable data privacy laws.
We collect Your Information:

  • directly from you when you provide it to us, such as when you create a profile, use our Services, contact us with inquiries; and
  • automatically, such as when you use GoSports and/or the Services. Information collected automatically may include usage details, and information collected through cookies, web storage, pixels, or other automated means, as more fully explained below.

By voluntarily providing us with any such information, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many features or opportunities.
Automatically Collected Information
When using the Services, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including but not limited to your IP address, the type of browser used, cookie information, the page you requested, and duration of activity on GoSports and other analytics. Light may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Light, agents or service providers. This information may be used to customize the content you see on GoSports or to communicate with you about opportunities. This information provides us with the type of User who is accessing GoSports and certain browsing activities of that User. We may make use of this data at an aggregated level in order to understand, among other things, how GoSports is being used. Light may share this aggregate data with its agents and business partners. Light may also disclose aggregated User statistics to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

These cookies allow us to uniquely identify you when you are logged into GoSports and to process your online transactions and requests. Children’s Privacy
Light does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 17. While we may collect certain information about minors under 17 that a parent or organization provides to GoSports to use our Services, the Services and its content are not directed at minors under the age of 17. If you are under the age of 17, please do not submit any personal information through GoSports and/or the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information on GoSports and/or our Services without their permission. To be clear, parents are responsible for managing and submitting any and all of their children’s information.
If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 17 has provided personal information to Light through GoSports and/or our Services, please contact legal@thelightco.net and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
Who We Share Your Information With
Light works together with third parties to support the delivery of GoSports and/or our Services, and we may disclose Your Information to those service providers to assist us in providing the Services. For example, we may share your personal information to provide you GoSports or the Services offered on or related to GoSports.
In addition to the above, we maintain certain social media accounts (e.g., Twitter and Facebook) whereby information may be shared between us and certain social media platforms. For instance, if you interact with us through a social media feature such as a plug-in, then you may be granting us on-going access to certain information from that social media account. If you do not want a social media platform to collect or disclose information about you, please review their privacy policy and the privacy settings of the applicable social media property before using such features on GoSports.
We may also use and/or disclose Your Information to take any action in any case of dispute, or legal proceeding; to prevent and remediate fraud, misappropriation, infringements, identity theft, cyber-attacks and other illegal activities and misuse of GoSports and/or the Services; and to comply with certain lawful requests and orders of law enforcement agencies and authorities. In addition, we may transfer Your Information to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation or other corporate reorganization in which Light participates or to a purchaser or acquirer of all or substantially all of Lights’ assets to which GoSports and/or our Services (“Successors”) relates and to potential Successors and their legal counsel through the diligence process for such an acquisition.
Links to Other Websites
GoSports may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by Light, e.g., sports organization governing bodies (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we describe here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from GoSports do not imply that Light endorses or has reviewed the Third Party Sites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.
Your Rights
Certain data protection laws provide Users with certain rights over how their personal information is used by companies. Consistent with these laws, Light enables Users to access Your Information and correct Your Information if it is inaccurate, as required by applicable privacy laws.

  • Decline to Submit Information: You may, of course, decline to submit personal information through GoSports and/or our Services, in which we may not be able to provide certain services to you.

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails: To unsubscribe from a particular marketing emails, click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of that email.

Do Not Track Signal
Some web browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signal. A DNT signal is a HTTP header field indicating your preference for tracking your activities on the GoSports website or through cross-site user tracking. Visiting Our Website from Outside the United States
This Privacy Policy is intended to cover collection of Your Information on or via GoSports from residents of the United States. GoSports and our Services are directed to Users in the United States only. If you are visiting GoSports from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your country. As Light continues to grow, the manner in which we process data will evolve over time.
